MCCC has been approved to participate in the National
Council for State  Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.

Colleges and universities are required to comply with the distance education laws of each individual state. MCCC has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) initiative and is authorized to enroll online students from all NC-SARA member states and U.S. territories. NC-SARA oversees distance education. It is a voluntary agreement among its member states and U.S. territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance-education courses and programs.

Refunds and Fee Adjustments: Refunds for online, out-of-state (distance education) students residing in a state other than Michigan are determined by Monroe County Community College. Refer to MCCC’s Tuition & Fees Policy: (Inside Policy 3.05 Tuition & Fees).

Thinking of Moving? As an out-of-state student, you will be responsible for checking state authorizations before you relocate to another state. Relocation to a state in which your program is not authorized could result in loss of transferability of your program credits.
